Locker Update - The %$&@! thing is backordered! Supposed to be shipped today, nearly two weeks after I bought it. Mumble frotz... With any luck I'll have it by next weekend and can install it then.

York Compressor Update - I have the compressor finally installed and will have final pictures soon. I had to get a bit creative to get the radiator hose to work since the new compressor was in the way. I have to finish up the wiring and that should pretty much finish it. At least until I get a tank. (Looking at the 1.75 gal $35 tank from onboardair.com)

Traction!!! We have Traction! - I went to a local 4 Wheel Parts store today that was having a March Madness sale and got a Power Trax LockRight locker! (With the sale and an extra 15% for being a 4x4 club member the damage came to an acceptable $200.) It is being shipped to me and I should see it next week hopefully. I also got a gallon of Herculiner for $75. Good day all arround!

Alternator Mounting and Adjustment Brackets - Mounting the alternator below the compressor seems to be the way everyone else is doing it so I decided to go the same route. The alternator was attached to the engine via two 3" x 1 1/2" plates of 1/8" steel. (Pictures soon.) I then needed an adjustment arm to allow the alternator to swing and then be solidly held in place. I was all set to fabricate my own (The drawings are here if you are interested.). But after a quick chat with a good guy over at the local NAPA store, I was off to Todd's Garage to rummage through his box of (can you guess?) old alternator adjustment arms. Apparently old Fords used a similar arm. $8 later I was heading home with two likely candidates. Five munutes after that one was bolted on. Woo hoo! Now to track down a possible lead on a factory York compressor bracket. If that doesn't pan out, then it's fabrication time.
